weekend. once on saturday afternoon and again early sunday morning. extra staff is on hand this morning just in case the transit agency computers crashed against. >> they need to do something. >> twice in one week. >> i have to get to work. >> computer problems caused all the trains to stop for about a half-hour each time. no evidence of computer hacking. software issues instead. some commuters are worried about it happening again during the morning or afternoon rush hour this morning. >> i have to explain to my boss why i am late for work. i don't want to lose my job because i cannot get on the train. >> metro officials said on sunday the safety systems remained operating and crews were working to minimize the chance of additional problems while they search for the cause. >> i will have to leave two hours early to make sure i make it to work on time. >> the trains eventually were

dispatched by radio. a metro spokesperson says all the trains are able to get to their necks stop. reporting live in northwest washington, john gonzalez, abc 7 news. >> thanks for that. looking at the day ahead, several lawmakers will join the u.s. department of transportation and other agencies, announcing the first ever federal safety standard for rail transit systems nationwide. the safety standards were included in bipartisan legislation signed into law by president obama earlier this month. the national transportation safety board has already identified several areas that could improve safety and oversight, including evacuation and rescue features on railcars. >> prince george's county police need your help finding the missing man. 75-year-old oscar harry washington was last seen yesterday morning in the backyard of his mother's home in bowie. he suffers from high blood pressure and memory loss.

>> thanks for that report. the latest developments in talks to expand gambling in maryland. governor o'malley and prince george's county executive baker are expected to meet today to discuss efforts to allow a new casino at national harbor. that is where we find jummy olabanji this morning with more details. good morning. >> good morning. according to the washington post also joining the governor and the county executive in prince george's county will be ike leggett of montgomery county, and the mayor of baltimore. the meeting scheduled to happen in annapolis later this morning. incupit was a couple weeks ago when the idea of expanding carogambling stalled. the governor has been working hard to get this back on the table and into a special session

with a deadly attempted robbery in capitol heights. the suspects stopped a car and gunpoint early sunday morning at farmingdale avenue. they ordered the people inside the car to get out and to lie on the ground. then the driver got startled and ran over and killed a man who was lying on the ground. >> investigators are looking for the driver of a car involved in a deadly pedestrian accident that happens in langley park. a tow truck hit a woman saturday night as she walked on to university boulevard near ridge road. another vehicle then hit the woman and kept going. the woman died at the hospital. her name is not been released. >> on the campaign trail, the race for the white house continues to heat up. president obama says he will not apologize for his recent attacks on mitt romney's involvement with the private equity firm bain capital. if that was one of many subjects that he discussed during a one- on-one interview with abc 7
